Within an hour drive, you may find yourself in the Greek amphitheater and temples of Segesta or Selinunte, or in historic buildings and monuments of Palermo, a city founded by Phoenicians, later influenced though never conquered by ancient Greeks, and then home of Norman, Swabian, Plantagenet, Aragon and Borbonic kings. Also worth of mention are Marsala, Erice and the "Stagnone" (home of one of the most worldwide renowned kite surf sites). Just a few of them we list, or we would need to write an endlessy long page ... with its 6 Unesco World heritage sites, its archeological areas spread all over the island, and thousand of kilometers of coastline, Sicily is a land history, culture and fun!
